Orange Set

Thursday, May 14, 1998

Since I plan on skipping my usual permanent next month, I have joined with my friend BonnetLady of the Rollermania Chat Room in becoming a member of the "weekly roller set set."

I arrived at my usual salon at 3:00 p.m.. The stylist was finishing blow-drying a woman with long, dark hair who had just had a brown shade applied on top of it. She was disappointed that it hadn't come out lighter.

I picked out a curly style from one of the style books at the salon. She washed my hair, and set it mainly in orange rollers, but with some larger yellow and buff ones on the top. It was then under the dryer for me, and I am typing this on my laptop from there.

While there, a woman with long hair came in to have her bangs trimmed, and a man with short hair came in for a haircut as well.

As usual, pictures were taken of the set.

The comb out was as usual--first the set was loosened using a wide-toothed rake, then the individual curls were placed using a combined pick and teasing tool. After pictures of the finished style were taken, I packed up my laptop computer and left the salon just before 5:00 p.m.
